Google wanted to celebrate ten years since opening their Irish office in 2003, as well as emphasizing their commitment to the country.

Solution

After ten years here, Google products have come to form an intrinsic feature of Irish life. So rather than talking about their achievements in the past decade, we turned that concept on its head and instead listed “How 10 years in Ireland has changed Google”.

We created a charming, heartfelt film in a lo-fi, hand-made style where all Google interfaces were created for real; a love letter to the Irish, perfectly in keeping with the values of Google Ireland. We also created a responsive website to celebrate the event, allowing you to view the most popular Irish search results from the last 10 years which generated great talking points and interest on social and news sites.
