The Academic

The Academic are a four-piece indie rock/pop band hailing from Mullingar. With an average age of 18 these boys have the world at their feet. A sold out headline gig in Whelans last November saw the place jam–packed with A/R people from record labels in Ireland and England.

Their debut single Bear Claws has racked up over 73,677 views in the 11 months since the video was uploaded taking into account that it was self released without any real PR campaign it has been played on most of the major radio stations and had plenty of nods from some of the biggest music blogs and websites in Ireland. So if you need something upbeat and radio friendly that captures all those feelings of youth and wraps them up in catchy melodies. The Academic will be your band this year.

Eulogys - World Send

Eulogys are a Cork based duo producing ambient, harmony laden, electro pop. Their most recent single ‘World Send’ has garnered them plenty of attention for its upbeat catchy hook and its subtle production.

A regular track on the likes of Totally Irish on 98fm attention from the likes of U&I magazine and NME, see’s 2014 as a big year for the duo who draw comparison’s to the likes of UK superstars Foals. The perfect futuristic flowing music with a soul instead of a hardrive.

Tvvins – Thank you

Tvvins is the collaboration of two of Irelands heavyweight acts, The Cast Of Cheers and Adebisi Shank the kind of musical supergroup that set fans hearts racing.

Tvvins, musically float in some Indietronica genre producing fast and cool music that’s capturing people’s imagination at every live show they play. Their latest track ‘Thank You’ is a non stop pulsing ride full of lyrics about striving for more in life and love, pushing to be better than ok. Think LCD Soundsystem.

Ciaran Lavery

Ciaran Lavery a Belfast based singer songwriter is set to release his second record in June. His first album was well received with plenty of critical acclaim from music journalists and bloggers.

He’s been drawing plenty of comparisons to Ryan Adams and Ben Howard for his ability to paint a picture with his lyrics conjuring up everything from beautiful summer days to cold loneliness. Definitely one to lend some feelings of home and heart with his relaxed style and that effortless husk in his vocals.

Sisters

London based Limerick trio Sisters shot to attention late last year with the release of their endlessly cool sounding single ‘Hush Hush’ . Bringing a modern vibe to that angsty grunge style of the 90’s they have received plenty of airplay on the likes of Phantom Fm/TXFM. Support slots with the likes of Big Deal have helped to grow their fan base across Ireland and the UK.

This is the band to help lend all sorts of cool to your campaign or film, harking back to all the nostalgia of 90’s grunge and shoe-gaze pop without treading old worn out paths and at the same time making it relevant for todays audience.
